Founded in 2022, The Rock Springs Prospectors aim to provide elite amateur hockey players an avenue to further their playing careers at the college or professional levels. The Prospectors utilize a global network to recruit players from North America, Europe and Asia who are committed to developing both as hockey players and as young men during their tenure in Wyoming.
The Prospectors will play a fast, physical brand of hockey that will provide affordable, family-friendly entertainment to those in Sweetwater County throughout the fall and winter months.
United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL)
The Rock Springs Prospectors play at the at the USPHL's Premier level.
The United States Premier Hockey League of 2020-2021 will be the nation’s largest amateur ice hockey league and the only league to span the continental United States and parts of Canada. The USPHL will field approximately 550 teams representing over 100 organizations comprised of 11,000 players spanning the AGES OF 6-20. Overall, across all of its divisions, the USPHL had more than 1,200 alumni playing college hockey in 2019-20 and more than 250 playing pro hockey, including in the NHL.
